Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone Recall The Night They Heard “La La Land” Was Up For Oscar Nominations
For Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, the night they heard they were up for an Oscar for their bit hit musical film “La La Land” was a night to remember.
Gosling recalls that it was late at night when he heard a loud knock on the door. The knock came from film director, Damien Chazelle, who he was promoting with in China while Stone stayed behind in Los Angeles.
Stone was notified via phone call by Chazelle’s girlfriend, Olivia Hamilton. Apparently they celebrated the good news in “a very 2017 way”.
“La La Land” is nominated for 14 Oscars, with Stone and Gosling being nominees for Best Actor in their respective categories.
Stone has already taken home an SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.
